O Sir Charles........The Round Mound of Prison-Bound

Oh Charles.....He never cease to amaze me. Well we all remember how Charles was pulled over and charged with a DUI, claiming he was in a rush to have sex with a "hot girl". Well since this incident, he has finally pleaded guilty to the DUI and will serve 5 to 10 days in jail. He can have the sentence taken down to only 5 days if he follows the alcohol education program. Knowing how Charles Barkley is, he will probably fail at following that too. Jay Mariotti said on his blog space that he has grown a great distaste for Barkley because of his erratic behavior on and off tv, especially towards other NBA players (past and present). He was an incredible basketball player, and instead of taking the route Jordan, Byrd, Miller Malone (most of the players in his day and age) and making great careers during their post-basketball careers, Barkley has only become worse and worse. His constant alcoholic abuse has grown pretty tiresome. Hopefully a couple of days behind bars might straighten him up.....WHO KNOWS!?!? Again, it's Charles Barkley we are talking about...

I had to shout out one of the best clothing lines in the game right now. I love Rock & Republic because of its unique style. I want to touch more on what they are known for, which are their jeans of course. These jeans can be worn through any type of situation, from a dinner type party or on your casual wear. They have every single type of cut imaginable and they fit perfect. These jeans are for anyone; with an urban look yet an elegant swagger, people know from the back pockets exactly what they are. I see R&R as pioneers into this type of fashion; a lot of people have made the transition from baggy Omavi Jeans and 3X Galaxy White Tee's to the slim fit Levi type wear and Clarendon wear (I will definitely put yall on that with a later post; heads don't know about that brand neither). I commend Rock & Republic for their uniqueness and for helping to introduce such styles (True Religion and Seven Jeans, yall too I ain't forget bout ya lol) and with the swag of the brand still staying sexy and upscale. If you ever have $200-$300 to blow (I know I'm crazy for stating that for the state our economy is in lmao) definitely blow it on a pair of these jeans. They will last for a long time and they are well worth ya money.

Temple Basketball On A Three Game Win Streak

Big shout out to Temple Men's Basketball team. They have definitely been the damn thing. With the addition of Spain's Juan Fernandez and the emergence of Craig Williams, the team has definitely been sparked with incredible bench play in clutch situations. All-American Candidate Dionte Christmas is still shining of course (I see you with the Bobble-Head D!!) and the rest of the starters definitely are still holding down the team. TU WE SHININ!!!!!!!!I feel a NCAA TOURNEY BID.....

Kanye's Addiction to Sex and Superhero Antics

Ye is the man.....Hands down he would probably be Top 10 on most people's Most Unique People Of All Time List. His beats are bananas, has the lyrical ability of the best in the game, and he is arrogant. I've been hearing of rappers trying to make attempts to make rock albums and to make transitions no one thought were ever possible; I think Kanye would be the only person who could possible make a rock album and the s*** would still be tough. I feel the man isn't even in his prime yet. But what I am really posting about is his latest remarks to the public. Ye stated that "There's nothing more to be said about music. I'm the f***ing end-all, be-all of music. I know what I'm doing. I did 808s in three weeks. I got it. It's on cruise control." Haha I love it because it is definitely the truth. The man is a musical genius and has impacted the game tremendously. He has also made references to his sex drive helping him with his musical career. He said he was so obsessed with sex at an early age that he created computer sex games where a giant penis chased around vaginas; it was a pacman type concept lmao. Keep shining Ye, you never cease to amaze me haha

Perception's of Obama Raising Plenty of Controversy

Now..... I am not the type of person who is fueled off of controversy and racial remarks, but I could not help but find this very interesting. The New Yorker and The New York Post had recently put out articles that have stirred up a lot of people, of course African-Americans. Now, we live in a free country and our First Amendment allowed us the right to freedom of speech. But where is the morality for human kind??? I feel that for these magazines and newspapers to publish these articles just to spark controversy (which obviously will sell a lot of copies just because of the controversial issue of race) is inhumane. With the political comic from the New York Post, it holds a bit less weight towards racial controversy due to the mauling of a young woman by a chimp, who was later shot down. But it can still relate towards racial issues especially with the recent deaths of young African-American males due to police brutality and the stimulus plan that was passed through Congress. You could see it through a lot of different lights. But for The New Yorker to make their cover of the magazine of Obama in this attire along with Michelle as "Soul Sister Number One", it is unacceptable. With the election of the nation's first African-American president, you would think we were only going to prosper and strive towards equality. Only America Baby!!!!!
